Christmas Eve at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport
Tuesday, December 24 • 5:00 PM
Christmas Eve at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport is a beautiful, Christ-centered celebration for the whole family. On this sacred evening, our church family gathers to rejoice in the birth of Jesus through Scripture, carols, and a clear presentation of the gospel. The service is warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully planned to help hearts slow down, remember the true meaning of Christmas, and worship Christ our Savior together.
What to Expect
Doors open early with seasonal music and a friendly welcome from our greeters. The service begins at 5:00 PM and runs about an hour. You’ll hear the Christmas story read from God’s Word, join in singing beloved carols, and be encouraged by a brief, hope-filled message from the pastor. We’ll conclude with a candlelight moment—a quiet, reverent time that fills the room with gentle light as we reflect on Jesus, the Light of the World.
Music & Message
Our music ministry has prepared uplifting arrangements of classic hymns and carols such as “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” “Silent Night,” and “Hark! the Herald Angels Sing.” The message will point us to the wonder of the Incarnation—God with us—and the good news that Jesus came to save. Whether you’re a long-time member or a first-time guest, you’ll find the evening both joyful and spiritually meaningful.
Family-Friendly Environment
Children are an important part of our church family, and they are warmly welcomed in the service. The evening is designed to be engaging for all ages, with familiar songs, a clear reading of the nativity passages, and moments that help kids and adults alike focus on the Savior. (If you’re bringing little ones, arriving a few minutes early can help you find seats together.)
An Invitation to You
If you’re looking for a place to celebrate Christmas Eve, we would be honored to have you join us. Invite a neighbor, bring a friend, or come as a family tradition—this evening is a wonderful opportunity to experience peace, hope, and joy in Christ. Whether you’re exploring faith or eager to worship, we pray you’ll leave encouraged and reminded of God’s great love shown in Jesus.
