Each year, First Baptist Church of Bridgeport sets aside a special season to realign our hearts, renew our commitments, and refocus our walk with God. This year, Stewardship Month will take place every Sunday from January 4th through February 8th, and our theme will be “The Vitals of a Disciple of Jesus Christ.” Just as a physician checks vital signs to assess physical health, we will examine the spiritual indicators that reveal the condition of a true follower of Christ.
Throughout these weeks, our church family will explore the essential marks of genuine discipleship areas such as devotion to Scripture, faithfulness in prayer, commitment to the local church, stewardship of time and resources, and a heart that seeks to serve and share the Gospel. Each message will challenge us to measure our spiritual health through the lens of God’s Word, ensuring that our walk with Christ is vibrant, growing, and aligned with His purpose for our lives.
Stewardship Month is more than a series—it is a call to evaluate where we stand and where God wants us to go. As we learn about these vital signs, we will be encouraged to cultivate habits that strengthen our faith, deepen our dependence on the Lord, and equip us to live boldly as His disciples. Join us for this powerful journey toward spiritual maturity, and allow God to shape your heart, refocus your priorities, and ignite a renewed passion to follow Him with your whole life.
